This was made last weekend in a dry lake bed near Bangalore, India. The eye is not in the RoT position as I didn't want to clip the rock.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII. ISO 400, f8, 1/125, full frame.

    Look forward to your comments.

Interesting image. Good comp. Has this bird just taken a bath? Nice perch but I would clean up the white-wash on it. I'm torn on the plant - I would have liked it better if it was behind the rock instead of in front. Nice BG that of which I would probably smooth out the blotchiness at left.

I like the angle, soft light and eye contact. Adding to Daniel's comment, I would sharpen the bird more and wish his left leg were not blurred.

Saby, super pose, and I like the light and the softer colours in this. The plant doesnt distract, but I would selectively sharp the bird and maybe lighten the eye a little.

ditto on lightening the eye and some sharpening. I quite like the blurry leg.

    Dear All,
Thanks for your comments. I didn't sharpen it beyond the default sharpening in lightroom. It had a bath and was cleaning itself. Uploading a different image of the same bird.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
