    Default Telephoto Flash Bracket?

What do you use? My 500mm f/4 is mounted to a Kirk QR plate, secured by a RRS B-2 Pro QR clamp to my monopod via a Gitzo head.

Now, Really Right Stuff has some great flash brackets that mount right to the quick release plate, but I'm not paying ~$220 for a flash bracket. It's laughable IMO.

    Cheaper alternatives?

    Thanks for your input.

I use the Wimberly flash bracket. It was cheaper than $220, but that was many years ago. Look for a used one?

I'm looking for something that works reliably at a good price. I have no problem with used!

I like the Wimberly bracket because it is so flexible and packable.
    All have strengths !
Not sure of present price ,but like a good lens or tripod should last a looong time !

Don’t forget that Kirk’s QR plates are only compatible with Kirk’s and Wimberley's flash brackets...But you could add a Really Right Stuff FB-A Dovetail Adaptor to fit with the other brands.

Jobu Design is also another good option.

Jobu Design is about $100 cheaper than Wimberly/RRS. Thanks for the info!
