    Welcome to BPN!

A very colorful first image. I like the symetry. The right butterfly is really right in your plane of focus, while the left one is a bit out of plane, hence out of focus on the wing tips.

I am ok with the wings being clipped, but if you have more, that would be fun to see as well. It would be preferable not to clip the antenna on the right.

Please include all your techincal details, it really helps to critique your image. So, give us camera, lens, exposure info, support (tripod, handheld) etc.

Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Welcome to the macro/flora forum and to BPN, AV! I think you were at the right place at the right time and I agree with Randy - the one butterfly is definitely more sharp on the right. I, too, think the crop on the sides is okay but the missing antenna does bother me a bit (go figure!) Nice exposure...now let's see those stats!

Welcome to BPN! Like the composition here with the butterflies facing each other. Agree totally with Randy's critique. Looking forward to your next one!
