Good light and eye contact. I would sharpen the bird more, blur the BG and wish for a bit head turn towards you.

EXP and sharpness look good from here. Head turn or lack there-of the biggest issue; a bit more room above is #2.

The BG could do with a bit of blurring maybe and the hot-spots on bill could do with a bit of toning down but otherwise it's a nice portrait, looks sharp enough I think.
