Default REWORK - Fish River Canyon

Okay - using the suggestions from the first post and some of the tips Robert Amoruso so kindly put on the sticky post I have reworked this image from scratch.

I believe it looks better now - the detail in the canyon pops a lot more and I have also cropped out some of the foreground. Lifted levels in the canyon depths as well.

Any other suggestions? Thanks for the assistance so far.

Composite of 4 shots taken with camera in vertical position.
Taken with a Canon EOS 1000D and 18-55mm IS lens.
    f11.0 - SS 1/250 - handheld - ISO 200

Morkel, your repost pops so much better. Great panoramic view, and the added contrast works well. Great stitching in your pp work too. Well done.

    Morkel,

WOW, you did really well with the rework on the image. I especially like the look in the canyon. Brighter and full of detail. Way to go. I am glad my tips helped you out.

    Hi Morkel,
Very nice job with the tweaks! It really did pop the canyon. If you are OK with such things.....I would add about 1/2 the bottom cropped out back in (I like the line of the ridge LR).....and patch/clone out the green shrub in the FG so it doesn't protrude into the frame.....if you aren't OK with it....leve it as presented now. The pano crop definitely adds to the scale and feel.

thanks for the feedback Roman, Robert & Stu!

Roman - I unfortunately cropped right up front (stupid I know) so adding back the FG would mean doing everything over. Maybe one day :). Will clone out the shrub though.

I liek the pop but would personally go with something about halfway. A nice comp and a great scene. Just watch that halo on the horizon.
