    40D, 400DO + 1.4xTC, f7.1, 1/125s, ISO 800, +2/3 EC, tripod mount, cropped a bit from left, added a touch to right, removed three branches on left side of frame.

    you got some great details Steve. like the pose and BG as well. small nit would be tail not in focus, probably due to aperture setting. I would even consider giving it some more space.

    Excellent work on those blacks Steve. Perfect exposure, and this is sharp with good detail. I like the pose with the open beak, and would consider maybe taking a tad off the top. Killer BG too. Well captured.

    Great blacks and DOF, just look at those little feet! It could use room at bottom and left.
    You do find a lot of them, neat :)

    Great singing pose, super sharpness, and excellent detail in the blacks Steve. The OOF tail feathers are just fine to my eye. A little more room as mentioned above would be a good thing.

    Great exposure, very sharp, and a nice perch. As mentioned a little more room would help, but is not a must: it is still an excellent image.

    Great detail and nice BG.
    I like the singing pose and the perch is interesting as well.
    I would move the image up however in the the frame.
    Comp is good, it's just that it needs more space on the bottom and less on the top.
