This is a very pleasing image. Guess mitosis in an alien would be different than a human. Like the beak and orbital formation. Since surrealism is based in fantasy and daydreams, you've obtained your goal in an artistic manner.

Excellent, Dave. This works for me. The patterns are great and so are the colors. I can visualize as alien embryo (although not the kind from James Cameron movie!)
