    Default Pelicans

13th June 2009, Hong Kong Park Aviary, Hong Kong

Shot on a Canon 5D Mark 2 & Canon 400mm f5.6 looking into the aviary and texture was placed over part of the shot.

I was hoping to achieve an impressionist look

I think you have achieved your look here, but I might give it more canvas on the top. Nice texture and dreamy feel to it.

Bob, I really love this image! The mood you've created is wonderful. I would like a bit more canvas on the top, the left and the bottom if you have it. Might try to get a bit more definition in the back eye. Texture and colors are great!! Really nice!!

Thanks for the comments, I feel I got a bit carried away on the foreground subject and tended to forget about the surrounds, this may have been because of too large an image size I was working on

Hi Bob, I really like the mood that you have created here but it reallly needs a lot more room at the top as per Jackie's comments. In addition, the whites could go a bit brighter. All in all, well done.

Agree on the crop and the brighter whites, especially the head of the bird in the BG. You really did a bang up job on the pp work, though...this has got a beautiful feel to it.
