    this is a superb shot. i like the smooth feel of the bg streaks. detail of the bird is just awesome. congrats and thanks for sharing.

    I like the typically active pose captured here, Rob, and the inclusion of enough habitat to provide some context but perhaps the brighter stems could be toned down a little.

    Beautiful bird, good details and soft light. If anything I might consider cloning out the narrow piece of grass going through the bird's body.

    Rob, this is pin sharp, and love the colours on the finch. He certainly stands out against the BG, and agree with Axel regarding the reed through the finch.

    Tiny little bird! Great ambient/BG IMO, lovely light, pose, detail, colors and comp. I only wish the tail was more visible. CongratulationS!
