    A GBH on a local lawn, doing what comes naturally. Tryout with my new lens combo. - D300, 300mm F/4 AFS+ Kenko Pro 1.4X TC, car window.

    1/800, f/8.0, ISO 400, Pattern metering

    Hi Richard - New toy - Congrats.

    Guessing its only a test shot - some issues here - Harsh Light - Angle of light - and not the most flattering pose.
    Ha is probably a little off as well.

    Now the subject that has been brought up, I'd thought I'd mention that birds typically lighten their load by doing what is depicted here, and will take off in short order. Usefull if you need a flight capture! So was my theory correct here Richard? regards~Bill

    Hi,

    In this particular case I was hoping for a take-off picture, but he just carried on walking. I'll post a better image separately.
