Finally we had some light today and I grabbed my Nikon D40 55 200 (I love this small camera) and went on a long
walk. I just took shots of what ever interested me....:)

Jim, any idea what your focal length was on this one? For f9, you got a really smooth BG! Excellent focus on the bee - everything appears sharp and well exposed. I am trying to decide if I love the leaf on the side or not...it's not all in the frame which usually doesn't sit well with me but, at the same time, it looks like the bee is going to hop on over at any moment so it does fit. Either way, in or out, it's a keeper of an image. Nice work!

James, I like your razor sharp focus on the bee. I feel the leaf on the right is competing with your center of interest and dividing the image.

James what a lovely flower and bee!! Yes, I think I agree with Dave. Same crop just loose the leaf.

Great shot James, you've really nailed the exposure and captured the moment! I too think the leaf on the right competes for interest. Removing it and rotating the image to the left might make for more interesting negative spaces and a more dynamic image.
