    Default Hearst Castle Main Entrance

Built over 27 years and still not finished, Hearst hired an architect named Julia Morgan at 47. She finished when he died 27 years later (and the castle was still not finished) Made of concrete enforced with rebar and decorated with an eclectic mix of art work and furnishings with three guest "cottages". I would hate to think what a structure like this would cost today.
