I found this fledgling in an area where both Western and Mountain Bluebirds were nesting...there was a Mountain Bluebird female nearby, and there is a lack of distinct spots on the back of this bird, which led me to the ID.

Comments and critique are welcome as always and thanks for looking!

    Canon 50D, 500 f/4 with 1.4x, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/160sec, +2/3EV, shot from truck using BLUBB

    Cheers!

Details, angle and eye contact look good. The image has a strong magenta cast and I would also run NR on the BG.

Thanks Axel, I don't even usually check the white balance, almost always leave it as shot...I do know better. Re-post with white balance corrected based on grey feathers on the bird and NR applied to background.

    Cheers!

The colors in the repost look definitely better.

Great image, repost is way better IMO although the bird is a bit bright to me.
Love the comp, the BG, colors, detail and pose! Congratulations!
