    My first post in this thread. While visiting Marco Island this past week.

    Nikon D300, Nikon 300mm 2.8 w/1.7tc @510mm, F 5.6, 1/1600, ISO 400, Aperture Priority, Exposure Comp -1/3,
    Tripod mounted.

    Very nice post Oscar. You certainly did a good job of getting this owl out in the open. The post is a bit of a distraction, eespecially the flagging. Not sure if you have enough photo to crop such that owl is in lower left, rather than top left? Looking forward to more. Good one. Dave

    Nice "sleepy" pose, I guess this is what owls are supposed to do during the day :D. I would get rid of the lowe part of the post with plastic wraps(?) Also looks like something was not right with sharpening or it maybe it's a very heavy crop, it doesn't look as sharp as it should. thanks for sharing

    Love the BKGR and the perch is not bad either, but as noted by Arash the image is not at all sharp.

    Agree with the other comments.
    Either missed focus or a massive crop? As this lens is one of Nikon's best, even with the 1.7tc can still manage razor sharp images.
