When I first observed these Herons fishing, I was amazed at the size of fish they swallow. This bullhead was not a problem. C and C welcome. :)

    Filomena:

Great timing on your capture. Nice job being square to the bird so your plane of focus covers the entire bird. I like the diagonal position of the bird.
It would be nice if the fish was not merging with the background. Did you get one with the fish in the clear?

The image is a little dark on my monitor. A little more room would be nice because the bird seems a bit crowded.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Randy,

Thanks for looking. I was in a tough spot and couldn't move back. This was real close with a 700mm lens.
I did get some with the fish in the clear. The problem is these bullheads are jet black and hard to see any definition. It was sure fun to observe the close action.

    Thanks Filomena.

There are times when a zoom is handy!

The publishers prefer you to not post different images on the same thread, just reposts of the original. I may have mislead you by asking if you had other shots. Sorry about that.

    Cheers

Both of these images are very nice, Filomena. I like the composition of the first one better, I think, but the second one shows great detail, much better on the fish.
