Took this pic earlier today. Not sure if it works? I wanted to get closer but the high tide would not allow me to. The one on the ground wasn't happy about the other one flying in. After reading The Art of Bird Photography II (Thanks Artie) I decided to give a go at selectively sharpening their eyes. Let me know if I over did it! I also cloned out a few blades of grass on his legs. This is about 75-80% of original. Let me now what you think. Thanks Brian

Hi Brian, Thank you sir. They eyes look fine. You did a good job of capturing the interaction. The oeverall sharpness looks a bit suspect. You might try a Contrast Mask on the two birds. Also, it looks as if it needs a bit of CCW rotation.

Hi Brian Would also corp below/above the green stripe line up top Will have more focus on the birds !!! I like the interaction !!! .. btw excellent exposure !!
Better. Contrast masks are covered in Digital Basics in one of the updates. IAC, Fliter/Sharpen/Unsharp Mask at 15/65/0 or thereabouts. Robert Amouruso has a good tutorial on what he calls Local Contrast Enhanmcement (I think) in ER. It is the same thing but he uses lower settings to start.
