A dandy shot Dennis. Really nice and sharp and lovely colours. A very nice bird in environment shot. Dave
Hi Dennis, First off, welcome to BPN and a big time thanks for your membership support. I love the image with the very nice COMP, a good EXP, and a good job of catputing the landing pose. I do not like this wing position when the bird is flying parallel to the imaging sensor but with the bird angling towards you it works here. I also love the sharpness and the look on the bird's face (as well as the open bill). Lastly, a bit of a crop off the bottom would tighten it up.
Questions:
Were you with Peter Kes when you created this?
Where was the image created?

thats awesome shot denis, the bg green motion IS strokes gives the feel of Gravity along with heron.
colors are so superb.
Super comp with the heron placed nicely in the frame. Nice and sharp showing good detail, and his building material a bonus.Well captured.

Thanks Dennis, Peter is a BPN moderator in widlife. He posted an image of this species in similar habitat. Thanks for the info and the invite. I have always loved seeing this species in Kenya but no real good chances on them.... I just may take you up on it one of these years.
