At last the rain has stopped. Still a bit overcast but able to get out to see what is going on with the nesting shore birds. Oystercatchers are growing rapidly. The Terrns are on eggs and the Skimmers are getting ready to lay. And yes the Piping Plovers have hatched!!! Great fun trying to keep up with them. They are FAST!!!!! Nice morning with Bob Arkow dispite the lack of "good light".

    Joe:

He looks a bit miserable, "what have I gotten myself into?"
Sharp, well exposed. I might suggest toning down the brown area by the tail, and giving him a little more room below and to the right. I tend to find these tiny chick images work better re: message if they seem to be small in a bigger frame. Just my taste, and your vision of it determines where to go with it.

HA is a bit away, but can work with the story, looking around, off into the BG. Others will beg to differ on this point.

    Thanks for sharing.

I tend to agree with Randy on this one. I too prefer with the chick is smaller then the frame.

    Joe,

Nice work on this one. Don't mind them this small in the frame. It's just tough to get a picture of a bird this size with incredible speed. Are the on the endangered species list?

    Thanks for sharing...

Great angle and good details. I wish the bird were facing you more and might lighten the eye. The image has a slight green cast on my monitor.

Love the low angle and the EXP but wish for a much better HA.

Love how in your face this little guy, great profile shot, so nice to see them getting around.

I also love how it's a little wet on its bottom :)
