    Tell:

Great eye contact, nice wingspread, well exposed, sharp.

If you haven't tried already, I think you can tastefully pull a little more detail out of the underwing area.

I might consider actually cropping in just a touch (20% or so of the clear sky) from the right. His attention is so obviously straight towards the viewer, that the extra room to the right may not be necessary.

Thanks for sharing! They are great looking birds!

See what you think about this variation. Minor, but perhaps an improvement.

Very nice capture, with excellent eye contact as you mention. Randy got nice detail out of the wing, difficult to get in camera since that part of the bird is in the shade. I'm fine with both crops.

Tell, eye contact at its best. Love the detail on their heads. I think you have exposed the gannet very well, and Randy has managed to extract a bit more detail too. Well captured.

That stare - fabulous! Beautiful HA. I also like the repost with a bit off the right.

I like the stare and Randy's repost helps with underwing details. Does it need some CW rotation?

Thanks guys and gals :) most appreciated as normal.

Randy, thanks for going to the trouble of a bit of adjustment :) I personally still like the original crop but think the the extra processing you did is a big improvement :)

    Tell:

to quote a famous bird photographer, YAW (you are welcome)

Cropping has to be the most individual of things, and I can see multiple options in most photos.

    Cheers
