    Great pose and bg. Maybe add some contrast. Pity he is not facing more this way

    No pity from me; this is pretty spectacular. Love the wing and tail positions and the great head angle (for this pose). Also love the BKGR. I would not increase the contrast at all.

    I like the look-back pose and BG. Is this a heavy crop? If not, I would sharpen the head a bit more.

    Well exposed blacks Stephen, and good to see the wingspread. I presume the BG is OOF grass. Nicely done.

    This is just stunning! The pose, light, exppsure, detail, colors, light, BG, and HA, all is in perfect harmony!

    Impressive bird! I love the warm light and clean BG. Agree on sharpening head more, contrsat is fine with me.

    Oh man, I love widowbirds and this image is a very example of their beauty. The critical focus point seems to be in the right wing instead of the head so I agree with Axel about another round of USM :-)
