    With not much happening at the Bosque del Apache, I always visit my next best spot "water canyon".

    Hi Gary,

    This image has a nice end of day moody feel to it. It looks like the WP is spotlit by the last gasp of light for the day. I would suggest selectively sharpening the subject to avoid the noise in the beautiful Orange/red bg.

    Interesting light angle, it looks underexposed to me.

    I agree Fabs, it does look a little under exposed. The light conditions were far from perfect except for a background of beautiful red sky. I tried to bump up the iso but only succeeded in blowing out his white chest. I have stretched the limits of my photoshop abilities on this one.

    Gary, tried selecting the bg and inverting the selection and doing Shadow/highlights and the breast doe not get affected but the blacks are too far gone from the side light to get any detail out of it. The only benefit was in the perch, and its really what you'd want to save.
