    Another one from my backyard. This guy was very orange for a house finch. I am already counting down the days until our shorebirds start returning!

    50D, 100-400 at 360mm
    1/500, f/5.6, ISO 250

    The perch on a diagonal certianly helps make the composition dynamic. The leaf size is perfect - enough to actavate some space but not distracting. Nice clean bg, fun active pose. It looks like if you would have used enough DOF to get the tail in focus your shutter speed would have been too slow and the bg too cluttered so good comprimise here.

    I like the softer colours in this, and nicely framed between the leaves.
