    Hi Folks:

Had this stranger for a long time finally visit our garden and honor us with his presence, Photo full frame, no crop and painted using Corel Painter 4 Essentials, finishing off using CS4 Filter, texturizer for a canvas effect.

You might want to open it full size to appreciate 1024 px width?

    Gus:

I like the overall effect, but wonder if you could burn in the very light back area and also the perch just a bit.
This fellow has a wonderful crest, nice lookback pose.

    Cheers

    Hi Randy:

Thanks for pointing that out, used paint brush with low opacity to darken up the reds, as burning brings out the yellows too.

    What do you think now?

It's the comments that makes this Forum so great, so folks get your feet bwet and chime in. You can teach an Old Dog new tricks

Nice pose and treatment Gus. I like your repost, darkening the perch and top feathers of the bird. I like the over the shoulder look too. Well done!
