You didn't think I was referring to the Egret, did you?

Alternate title would have been "Goby's Last Stand". Thats what type of fish it was.
    Comments and critique welcome.

Good catch and exposure control. I would give it more room, especially on the right and run NR on the BG.

Tongue in cheek comment-get rid of steel eye, you didnt think I meant the Egret did you ?
Seriouly a little tight but love the action and eye position of the prey.
    Also the whites look good.

:D Loved the tittle. Well, the HA is the only thing to improve here, but the natural moment, light, detail, BG, the great pose of the fish inspired this OOTB crop :) , hope you don't mind. Congratulations, great timing!

Such an interesting image, but to me, it's all about the fish and the bird is a distraction. LOL I think Ramon may be on to something. That curved fish, cool eye, and flying droplets are where my attention lingers. The blur in his tail is perfect.

Bill: Wonderful shot! The position of the fish is just perfect. I agree with the noise in the background, and on my monitor the image seems a bit flat. I'd be tempted to tweak this just a bit with Levels, perhaps. Excellent exposure by the way. Where did you take this, if you don't mind me asking?
