    Default Clay-colored Sparrow glance-back.

I had so much fun photographing this fella a couple of weeks ago that I thought of posting another one. I love the pose I was able to get here, with just enough of a head turn. I always thought sparrows have neat markings on their back and wings, and this photo showcases those marking well :). Audio was used in the creation of this image.

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/7.1, ISO 200, -0.3 EC, handheld, small crop to help composition.

    Daniel:

Nicely done, looks kind of coy! Nice exposure, DOF use.

I love the sparrows......and a Clay-colored is one of my favorites. They are always perky and responsive.....and do pose for you. Wonderful colors.....and oh soooooo sharp. I love it.

This pose really shows off the feather patterns in both the head and back quite nicely. Good sharpness, exposure, comp, and background. Well done.

I like your comp Daniel, looking up to the ULC. Super detail from the top, and great light on the eye. Well captured.

A lot of people oversaturate lbj's. You have done well to show the true colour imo. Great comp here. I would have liked better dof here but not always possible. Well done on a great one
