Very beautiful woodpecker indeed, I would perfer a little more room on top with a little sharpening of the birds face

    Dave:

I agree with Kiran re: sharpening the face a bit.
re crop - I would be tempted to add a bit top and left, remove a bit at bottom
Noise - little bit creeping into the darker areas of BG. Not a major issue, but some might be bothered.

Nice exposure, holding reds/yellow. Nice eye (better yet with sharpening!)

    Cheers

    Thanks

    Randy

I like the pose, perch and BG and agree regarding a wider crop and more sharpening of the bird.

Amazing colours on the woodpecker, and I like the slight forward pose. Another vote for a bit of selective sharpening.

Lovely colours and pose on the perch. Agree with Randy on more room top and left. Sharpness is the major issue. If the original is sharp some tweaking of sharpening for web will make a huge difference.

Thanks for the comments folks...Adding canvas is an easy fix. Image looked pretty sharp on my screen so I was afraid I would over sharpen. Will take another view adding addl sharpening....

Great pose, nice perch, lovely BG detail and colors, light angle IMO was not ideal and I agree a bit more USM would help. Congratulations!

Another vote for more USM and more room left and top. Excellent techs, although one could argue that you had room to lower the ISO a bit, The perch and BG are perfect. I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned that a slightly better head angle (more towards us) would have been great :-)
