    Default Delving into the flower.

No idea what this species is, but each bloom is about 1/4" in width. In its entirety this plant looks like a perfectly round exploding fireworks display of white flowers atop long stems (three to four "clusters" per plant). I decided to go in-close as most of the blooms were not open therefore the plant was not at its most photogenic otherwise. This is full-frame, but in retrospect I wish I had pulled back on the zoom a tiny bit as some of the buds are close to (or touching) the edge.

Canon 40D + Tamron 28-75 f./2.8 @ 63mm + 36mm extention tube, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/160s., f/5, ISO 800, -1.3 EC, handheld (elbows braced to the forest floor), natural light.

Hey Daniel, I like the comp, good focus point, and like the DOF.

Great use of selective focus, beautiful back light and good design.

I like this quite a bit Daniel...I just like it better upside down!

Beautiful greens and nice selective focus. I wish there were a few more of the stems towards the middle but love the burst of white!

I like Jules' upside down version best. Nice getting in real close!
