took this saturday trying out the new sigma 150. this is my first venture into this type of photography. so hit me with your best shot. let me know what you like and dislike. it's different and fun!

D300, 150 macro, f/2.8, 1/800s, ISO 640, 0EV. pretty much straight out of the camera. i toned down the brightness about 5 clicks and sharpened the three in focus flowers. that's about it!

comments and critiques welcome and appreciated.

Very soft, very pretty composition...the subject is placed just right in frame, I like the selective focus, and the color rendition...it has a good feel to it Doctor...welcome to the world of Macro...:D:cool:

Hi Harold Glad you are trying the macro stuff and selective focus !!!

As presented would look neat without the bottom right clump cropping form right and down. For these I like to reduce the number of elements !!! Neat image !

Harold: I like the complete general tone of the colors. All I can add is write down every little thing you did to accomplish what you did today and keep it in mind as a template you can add to. It is pleasing to look at. As Al said that it might be a little off balance, artistically yes. However, establish the general look Harold likes, and you will be creating artistic masterpieces that will bear your brand.

As Lance used have as a motto: "Think out of the box."

    Thanks for sharing
