From our local beach. This is one of the parents, I have an image of a day old chick that I will share next. I've had to work quickly to create just a few images as the parents are nervous and I see no need to cause them stress. As it is, there's a resident fox and a cat on this beach, so hoping for the best for the four chicks.

    Grace:

Well exposed, sharp. I like the colors in the background and rocks that harmonize with the bird.

I might consider a small crop from the left, and for me the image is a bit bright. I know that is their environment, but it seems to bright to me.

Looking forward to seeing the chicks, and I wish them well.

Grace, this is a very fine image.
I like the rocks and the background colors which make the camo colors of the bird match the environment. I would be tempted to increase the color saturation and contrast a bit in order to make the bird's features pop even more.

    Grace,
    Beautiful image.
I love the composition just the way it is. Not too tight, not too loose.
IMO a little levels adjustment to bring some of the mid-tones down would make this even stronger.

Grace, lovely low angle, and I like the soft light and colours in this. Perfect comp.

    Hi Grace:

Lovely capture. I understand why you didn't crop from the left...b/c of that cute little vegetation down in the lower left corner. It balances out the image and helps add more to the habitat. I may have tried a levels adjustment, but I imagine this is pretty much the way this plover looked through your viewfinder. Thank you for your sharing. Can't wait to see more with the chicks.
