    Hi Paul I like the idea here Would like to see some settings to see what you were up to !!

    Would try including the flower to the right side entirely and lined up a little different to avoid the merges with some of the brighter in bg For this I would try a limited dof to blur out the bg As presented can do some work applying Gaussian blur in a layer !!!

    Paul, I think it looks quite a bit like wild Phlox...might research that online and see what you think.

    Can;t help with ID. It looks like you had some harsh light to deal with. I like Al's idea of blurring the BG.

    Hi Paul,

    This is Hesperis matronalis (Dame's Rocket). It comes in both white and purple, just like in your pictures. It can be distinguished from Phlox because it has four petals instead of five.
