Not the typical Nuthatch perch, my only decent shot so far. This little girl is so tame she perched on my jeans while I was getting set up. Wish the whole branch were in focus...

A really lovely portrait of the female Nuthatch Caroline - great pose, colour and BG. I like this perch of yours (same as in your Chickadee-fruit-toss image) . Very well executed!!

Ditto the above plus very sharp. If you were on a tripod and the background was quite distant, you could easily have gone down to f/13 or so and gotten the perch stuff sharper. If you did that, there is always the danger of bringing up distracting background detail. I like it a lot as is.

Great pose, details and perch. You could crop a bit off the left since the bird is a bit centered anyway.

This was taken in my dad's backyard, unfortunately f/13 would bring up distracting background elements. Thank you for the comments, there is so much to learn here.

Nice shot Caroline! I agree with Axel that you've got room to crop away some of the OOF stuff at the bottom left.

WOW!! What a neat image. My only nit would be to get th ebird out of the center by adding to the right and taking some off the left.
