Taken earlier today; settings were -

1/1600 sec, f/6.3 EC: +1/2 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative ISO: 800 hand held

Reduced background noise, applied selective sharpening and usm. Your C&C will be appreciated.

Hi Indranil, quite a nice picture of a bird I find hard to take a decent picture of :) On my monitor it just lacks a little contrast...

..so I have taken the liberty to just to change it a little - hope you do not mind. Might be worth adding a little canvas to the top also.

I like the curve of the wings and you have done well to show the detail in the dark plumage. Slight contrast boost pops the image but saturation maybe a little too much.

I like the pose and eye contact, the repost improves the image and I would add a bit canvas at the top.

I like Tell´s repost but just a litle bit less saturated (I agree with Tony). That green emerald eye is killer. The pose of the bird and exposure looks perfect.

Tell, thanks for repost, it definitely made a difference.

Tony, Axel, Juan, thanks for the feedback. Here is a repost increasing the canvas on top, including Tell's contrast changes and reducing the saturation a bit.
