I liked the contemplative pose and the rim lighting as this baboon sat momentarily to survey his "kingdom"

    Peter,
Nice image. The baboon is perhaps in deep thought. Rim light adds to the image.

How come the sky is dark? You can explore sepia and other tones for this image as well. It would have been great if you could have taken this image in early morning or evening light. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Definite highlights are the baboons contemplative pose, the rim light on his left side and openness of the vast area before him. There is room to look around with him. A very thought provoking image here. I like the graduations of tones as they are. It adds to the mood of the "look".

thanks for looking and commenting... always appreciated
Sabyasachi, the sky in original was very flat and gray and did not feel right, so i just burnt it a little top and on sides.. this trip was a bit frustrating anytime i had good light i had no subject and visa versa..
    thanks kirk and grady,
Octavio, agree when you do get up close and personal with these guys you can see that inquisitive spark in their eyes..
    thanks again for comments
