From a few weeks ago at Wakodahatchee, this guy was kept busy in the art of home improvement by his mate.

    Oscar:

You got a terriffic photo when at Home Depot, was the bird shopping for home improvement items at HD too :)

Looks like both have artistic skills, and your photo would look good in a large size on your wall. They must build large nests?

    Thanks for sharing

Hi Oz - Has a real 3D feel to it - love the action and the nesting material - might have given him a tad more room all round maybe - but just personal taste.
BG looks a bit funky above the RHS wing - there is a darker area that looks a little weird - may have just been like that though.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

I like the capture Oscar...nice wing spread...you were shooting in very harsh light and the light angle was not in your favor...considering, you did well...I like the wing position and the nesting material...I think this chap is Bob Villa's assistant...:D

Tough getting a bg at Waco Oscar !! Once they start bringing branches the pattern is constant Best to set up with a bg in mind and keep the motor going .... not sure how much more he flew but maybe the next frame doesn't have the trunk in the bg !!! Glad they are still going at it ... long season for them !!!
