Nice soft light, composition, love the perch. Nicely Done!!
Beautiful colors and perch with excellent detail!
Might tone down the white flowers a bit.
Also wish for a bit more head turn toward the viewer.
The soft light really makes this image IMO. Your exposure control was excellent. DOF and sharpness are spot-on. I might clean up the bright spots on the crest feathers.

Great soft light, good details, perch and BG. Adding to the other suggestions, I would remove the horizontal (clone?) artifact in the BG touching the bird's forehead/crest.
Some comments...
A) Mike...agree that a slight head turn would have made this better.
B) Doug...the bright spots are water drops but certainly they can easily be removed.
C) Axel....I don't see what you're talking about near the crest feathers? There is a faint strange looking area directly in front of the crest and above the forehead when I look hard...I think it's just something that was OOF but slightly noticeable. I just checked the original RAW file and the only clone behind the head was to remove a falling rain drop.
Jim:
Another nice one. I do agree about burning in the white flowers, and I would probably just slightly darken the lighter green foliage as well. Nice job getting a clean look at this fellow without plant material in front of him.
HA as mentioned, but the soft light is lovely.

A)..Agree the leaves could be darkened.
B) Not so sure about the flowers...they are at about 243 max and while the look bright...they were :) I guess this is the question about when is white too bright and becomes a distraction? I will give it a shot and see what happens.
Flowers and leaves toned down just a smidge, water spots removed from the head and the little OOF thing in front of the crest removed.
Better?
Preety much the best light conditions one can ask for IMHO. Lovely detail, pose, comp, colors, species and perch, BG is great as well. Congratulations!
This really is a nice image this would make a nice canvas print
I like the original a lot and I would make no changes on it, only to the horizontal line that Axel talked about. The flowers are very bright but not hot and I like the original ones (in the repost they look very... I can not find a word to describe it but I prefer the originals).
Light, exposure job, perch and BG are just wonderful and, in a perfect world, an slightly better head turn will be great but, man, we are not living in a perfect world (fortunately) and this image is just killer!
I like the light, detail and colours in this. Your repost with the toned down flowers works well.
Another vote for the original. I like the way the bird is part of (same line) yet still stands out form the perch. Creamy looking subject but still visible details. Nice overall colors. Nice detail.
What a picture!
Love it all Jim! If anything I would prefer to see a better head angle but it is minor.
This is just beautiful, and one of my favorite birds. Difficult to get them with such a great background!
