The light seems pretty good but the bird is a bit too centered - yes to more space. The wing position doesn't help much either.

I like the light you had to work with Chris. I would definitely go with some additional canvas on the right. Do you have a frame either just before or just after this one with the wings either fully up or down? That would make for a stronger image IMO.

Nice eye contact and light. Do you have an image made earlier in this series with wings up or down? Another vote for a wider crop.

The wing position is not the best to my taste but I love the sharpness, action and light. Very nice BG too and another vote for more room at the right.

Chris, you have exposed the colours on the WF nicely, and like colours in the BG too.

Nice colors. A bit tight for my taste. Again I'm in the minority but I personally like the symmetry of the wing position and how the trailing edge is on the same plane as the tail and legs.

Thanks for all the comments and advice. Yep I have a frame with the wings fully down I will post it another time. Thanks Steve I also like the wing position it's diifrent from the norm hence the reason for posting this one
