    This is one of several barred owls I photographed at Lake Martin one morning last spring. He's a bit damp because he's just finished catching and eating a meal of crawfish.

    Handheld out of car window.
    Vertical crop

    That is one wet owl. Nice perch and setting. I find the white spots in the BG a bit distracting.

    wet or not, it is a **** of a shot. The white was there. I guess you could clone it in, or leave it. It is not too distracting, the rest of the image overwhelms any white sky or clouds.

    I appreciate the comments. I've addressed the blown areas in the background. This image was taken at -1.3 because of the very bright sunlight from behind the owl.

    This one really works for me, working the photos BG highlights helped in a sharper look to his face. Well done Gayle.
