Well, yesterday was a good day, light was very weak but lovely IMO, I am getting closer to what I wanted to get from this guy but I am still not quite there yet, still I am enjoying the ride and at the end that's as important :)
    Hope you like it. Enjoy!

    Ramon:

Lovely light, wing position great with min head merge, good feather detail.
    Nice comp.

Really the only wish would be that perhaps the background was a bit dimmer, so as not to compete with bird re: brightness, but this is minor.

    NICE.

Ramon, you are treating this magnificent bird as a pet. I am enjoying your series, and once again, stunning light and colours. Super comp, and I like the posture.Brilliant detail, and hope you have one with a full wingspread. Congrats.

Lovely colors and detail in the wings. Very good looking bird, quite different to our Caracaras.

Great details, pose, BG and eye contact. I particularly like the raised wings in this one. I might give it a tad more space at the top and am wondering what it would look like with a slightly lower color temperature.

Great shot and I agree with with less brightness in the background. Keep the colors but lessen the intensity of the BG.

    Ramon:

I tried my suggestion, of lowering the brightness of the background. It did seem to make the bird pop a bit more, but you have to be the judge of this vs. reality.

    Just an option.

It looks good but I might decrease the yellow saturation. The color temperature looks a bit too warm on my monitor.

I like more contrast on the bird put prefer the original BG, softer looking, but it is a matter of personal taste.

It seems you have made a good friendship with this bird. I can only dream of getting so close to raptor with 300mm.
I like the second version more. Congratulatons for a wonderful picture!!

Another outstanding image in this series, Ramon. A terrific pose in beautiful light and very sharp. The suggestions above are interesting, but are just tweaking an already great image, IMO.

Oh wow....so many choices on this one. I just love the golden tones in both the bird and the BG. A blurred BG is good but sometimes I think it may look a bit unnatural. I think the original BG might look a bit more natural than the others.....but it's hard to tell scrolling up and down. An excellent image with remarkable detail nonetheless.

Thanks Lana, but I didn't blurred the BG, that is just NR (maybe too much) I don't like digitally blurred BGs.
Thanks again for your kind words, thoughts and comment.

The quality of this image made the bird looking like rendered in 3D. The pose is fantastic and I wouldn´t change a single pixel on the image but just a modification in the color temperature that seems to be on the warm side of the spectrum. Fantastic series Ramón

Amazing image, almost painting - like! I like Randy's suggestion of a slightly toned down background.
