I had posted a photo of single wood duck a while back. This is from the same series. As I was taking his photos, he turned around, saw the other male and raised his crest.

Let me know how you like it. Thx in advance.

Kiran, thx. My biggest problem with this image is the slight shake. Although my camera was on the ground, I had to raise the lens a bit and support it with my hand. I should get a bean bag or something. My tripod does not go that low.

I had the camera set at f/8 as I was shooting some ducklings that were very close. By the time I changed to f/5.6, the moment had gone. Thats bird photography I guess. But in hindsight, I think without f/8 I would not have got the other drake so well.

I like this one just as it is......especially the colors. I like the second duck.....and enjoy using my imagination as to what will happen next. Nicely done.

I like the composition, soft light and angle and would sharpen the bird on the left more.

Great low angle and composition. I agree the front bird needs some more sharpening. I'd also be tempted to darken the far bird a bit as it competes for attention. I do love it there - it just needs to complete the image, rather than compete with the image :-)

I like the low angle in this, and I feel the comp is balanced with the OOF duck on the right. I like the raised crest, but would maybe add a bit of contrast to the duck on the left. Another vote to sharpen him too.

Very interesting behavioral image, love the crest and colors and the calm watter too.

The other bird makes up for the composition. I liked this pic, however i will sharpen the eye and beak so as to pop it up.

I like the even, bright light, the low shooting angle, the colors, and the comp with the second bird included. On my monitor some of the whites look pretty bright and could perhaps be toned down a bit - these birds with their mix of whites and darks are difficult to expose properly. I think the soft light has helped you in this respect. Well done.

Lovely low angle and special moment! I see a slight sharpening halo below the bill (?)
