    I was at a garden in an arborateum called Willowood last sat. and thought this was interesting. The black backround was due to the subject being in the shade.

    Hey Dave,
    Nice job with the DOF and flash units. It held the whites nicely! You know I am a huge crop fan and I also don't mind black BG's.....but in this case the only whole leaf is the LH side one so I may go with a small one top.....keep the bottom equal distance and hack a good part off the left (so space is also equal to blooms).......makes it kind of square but I like the flow of the RH side.

    Beautiful and dramatic image, Dave! I believe this is a hydrangea bush if I remember correctly. Love the soft whites against the deep, dark greens - it really makes them have impact while still retaining the soft delicateness of the flowers.
