    Default Pine Grosbeak

I took a trip to the boreal forests of northern Minnesota today in search of a few species that I have yet to photograph and was able to get a few including this male Pine Grosbeak. We were thinking that the flat light and light snowfall might not be to helpful, in the end it may have been.

Yes Mike you had some nice soft light to play with here. Great colour, BG, and sharp as. lightening the eye area would improve image for me and a little extra space above and below subject. But a nice feel to this image.

Great find, setting and BG. The snow adds to it. I just wish for a bit more head turn and more space top and bottom.
