    Australasian Darters Anhinga novaehollandiae are often quite tame around here, this bloke was sitting on the edge tof our lake, probably digesting a big feed of carp.

    Canon 400D, EF100 f/2.8 macro, handheld, ISO400, f/11, 1/500. Full frame.

    Great portrait. I like the light, details, pose and BG. I'm surprised the DOF is not wider at f/11 and 100mm. You must have been really close. :)

    I wish I could get this close Simon, I like the lighting and the dark blue BG.
