Default Just A Drop In The Bucket

Not able to go out so I fooled around with a couple of geled SB-900's and some water

    Nikon D3
    Tamron 180mm Macro
    ISO 200
    F 9.5
    1/250
    manual exposure
    2 SB 900's

1 at 1/16th power and the other at 1/32nd

both with blue gels and one with snoot bounced off a blue BG

    John:

Very nice, with tremendous sense of depth. The only thing I might experiment with would be the 'catchlights' in the drop. They add life to it, but perhaps eliminate some, to further simplify the image.

    Nice OOTB thinking.

I was thinking the same thing as Randy...can't decide if there needs to be less of them or just less intensity but wow...what drama! As Randy mentioned...it's got great depth and a really luxurious feel to it.

    Hey John,
Is it me or does the drop look like a smiley face or Pac-Man? I agree about the highlights......maybe just the largest on the LH side of smileyace......I did debate the central placement but find it works here. Love the tones too!
