    Palm warblers are usually earliest of the warblers to arrive in Grand Isle.

    Nikon D2Xs, Nikon 500mm f/4, Nikon 1.4 teleconverter
    Aperture prioirty, Matrix metering, 700mm. 1/80s, ISO 200, Exposure +1

    I like the soft light, setting and pose. I would give it more room at the bottom and selectively sharpen the head more.

    nice looking bird with beautiful colors,i would prefer a bit more head turn

    Gayle, lovely pose, and nicely framed between the two sets of leaves. I would add a bit to the bottom.

    Thanks, everyone. I too wish the head were turned a bit more. Axel, thanks, I will sharpen the head a bit more. I forgot to mention that this was full frame with only a small crop on the left. To add at the bottom I'll have to do a bit of cloning.
