    Default Red Shoulder Hawk (Captive)

This Red shoulder Hawk is captive, she was found with an injured wing, that is now amputated. I know the background is distracting, but could not give up the opportunity for a Picture. All C&C welcome. Enjoy :)

Hi Kyle - Exposure looks good as does the HA and eye contact, Lovely and sharp to boot. AS noted the BG is what it is - usually with these captive guys - the handlers will be happy to turn the other way so that you can get a better BG - Found all you have to do is ask nicley and they are more than happy to help out.

    Keep them coming :)

Wow, so it cannot fly anymore?? That's really bad!

My dream shot is a photo of a bird flying in city traffic, or some bird-in-flight with high rises in the background (kind of like one posted in the Avian board taken in HK). Of course I won't post any of them here, even if I have them :)

    Good exposure and sharpness !

I like the close up pose Kyle...the only thing needed is a little lightening of the eye and a tad more sharpening...well done...

Hi Kyle I have found in those captive shoots the handlers are accommodating and will move the bird around for a better bg !!! .... ask next time and might be surprised !!!
