    Thanks to all the C&C from Eager to Learn on a different bird shot, I have applied the advice from that posting to this photo.

    1/640 at f11 and ISO400 EC +2/3

    My first impression is that I love the angle of the perch and the way it contrasts with the swallow's posture and wing extension.

    The exposure is near-perfect, and we all know how much fun it is to photograph a dark bird against the sky! ;)

    I didn't see your original post, but this looks real fine to me!

    I like the pose, details and eye contact. You have some pretty cooperative models there. I would put the bird a little bit higher in the frame and maybe adjust the midtones to make it a bit darker.
