    Shot this yesterday and liked it in color and thought I would convert it to B/W using Silver efex.
    Nikon D300, 200mm macro, F32 1/200, nikon speedlights, -1 1/3 stops on flash, 0 comp,tripod mtd

    Dave, I like the very soft values and nice composition. Nicely presented.

    I tend to like my b&w's with more of a tonal range but that's just me. I think since you went soft with mostly the middle range tones here you should really think about going for it all out - maybe a little soft white vignette around the edges or a slight ethereal glow added over the top. Could just be that I know how gorgeous that colored version is and that's why I'm not loving the b&w as much as I normally would. That color image...wow.

    I'd boost contrast on it, maybe moreso on the midtones. beautiful subject
