Here's another 'softy' from the hosta plants yesterday morning. (Nothing like that 2.8 aperture, baby!)

    Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
    f2.8 @ 1/250th, ISO 400
Manual mode, pattern metering, sunny wb
    Handheld, no flash
    Processed in ACR & CS4

Here's a trick I've found that works really well in these monochromatic green images: Overexpose the image a bit and then in Camera Raw, go to the luminance slider and push those greens up to the right a couple of notches. It really lightens and brightens the mood and leaves a clear, clean feel to the image. ;)

Hi Julie, nice image and great tip on the greens. I like the painting-like feel this has as a result of the softness and the pastel coloring. Great BG.

This has a nice abstract feel to it, Jules. Thanks for the tip on the greens. Don't think I have ever taken a photo at f/2.8 - guess I need to expand my horizons. :)

Terrific use of shallow depth of field with great light and nice composition. Love it!

    Hey Jules,
Pretty neat with the effect! I like the shapes and soft feel. The white makes it IMO.

Lovely. I like all the curves and rounded shapes going in different directions. Gorgeous soft but definite colors.
