    Two issues I can see:

    1. The hummingbird looks kind of dark.
    2. The branch in the background that is running "through" the head of the hummingbird.

There also appear to be a slight color cast, too.

I think this image could improve if the aboves are addressed. For the first one, flash could help (but some people are very sensitive on using flash on birds so be careful) or based on final exposure on the readings taken on the bird itself. For two, change the perspective when you shoot or post-processing using Photoshop and the like to remove it after the fact.

I like the pose of the hummingbird, and it looks very relaxed and comfortable.

    Hi Lady Mirenchu,
You did well considering the busy backgrounds and deep habitats of Butterfly World...I like the capture...a few points to consider...I would crop 1/4 from the bottom and clone out the arched branch along the birds head, also open up the mid-tone slightly and resharpen the eye...a good capture indeed...
I adjusted your base image by adjusting the mid-tone values, cropping from the bottom, the top and adding canvas to the left side of the frame..I boosted the saturation and contrast levels, and applied noise reduction in the background...see if this presents best to you...:)

    Lady Mirenchu,
This is just a basic idea...you can still tweak up the image, I was just noticing that I left you cloning marks along side the bill and on the back of the bird's neck...also the half portions of the two leaves that are pointing down in the frame cane be cloned out, depending on personal taste...:cool:

Beautiful baby with nice detail for 1/30. I noticed exposure is mentioned twice?

Well done with the slow shutter speed :) - Gus's repost shows the way. Original bird was a little under for my tastes. Agree with Desmond's Critique.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

Amazing sharpness for the shutter speed Mirenchu !!!!

Agree with suggestions and flash wise you are safe to use at Butterfly World Birds show no reaction to flash at all !!!! Would have filled in nicely !!!
