    Default Band-tailed Pigeon

Next to the Ring-necked Pheasants, this is the most skttish species one can try to photograph in this area. A blind is a must to capture these birds around here. This was taken in my yard from inside the house through a small opening in a window. One of my favourite birds :)

I would have used a flash here to fill the shadows in the bird's belly and neck, but other than that, this image is simply great to me, love the pose, peroch, colors, BG, species, detail and sharpness. Congratulations!

Super detail Tim! Great perch, pose, and BG. The light angle creates subtle shadows that give the bird a nice sense of depth.

Hey Tim, This is a wonderful image; Love the perch and the BKGR and the sharpness. Love the view of the back of the neck. A bit off the bottom and a bit lighter on the iris would improve it.

The details on this bird really pop...it is quite lovely! I don't think I'll ever tire of your mossy perches either. :) Excellent work Tim. It sure beats the first view I had of this species in Arizona (perched on a thick branch about 150 feet up in a tree).

Tim I missed this one. It is outstanding the rendering of the bird against that creamy BG. I absolutely love it. I just think that the birds is a bit centerd and that a litle bit of additional room at the left would be great.
